Acceptable Use Policy
SEOverts Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: July 24, 2026 Version: 1.0
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the SEOverts Service provided by Meerkat 9000 LLC ("Company," "SEOverts," "we," "us"). It is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in the Terms. You are responsible for your Organization's members' and authorized users' compliance with this AUP to the extent they use the Service through your account.
1. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Service to store, transmit, display, or make available any content that:
- is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable;
- infringes or misappropriates any intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other right of a third party;
- contains viruses, malware, ransomware, or other harmful code;
- constitutes unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, spam, or chain communications;
- harasses, threatens, defames, or incites violence against any person or group, or promotes discrimination;
- exploits or endangers minors, or contains child sexual abuse material; or
- offers adult, gambling, controlled-substance, weapons, or other regulated goods or services where you are not licensed and permitted to do so, or in violation of any law or advertising-platform policy.
2. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- use the Service in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right;
- impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- connect a Website, or an OAuth or advertising account, that you do not own or lack authority to manage;
- use the Service to manipulate search-engine rankings through spam schemes, including link schemes, private blog networks, cloaking, keyword stuffing, fake reviews, or other practices that violate search-engine webmaster guidelines;
- use data obtained through the Service in violation of the API terms of Google, Meta, TikTok, or any other connected platform; or
- interfere with any other customer's use of the Service or with the integrity of others' data.
3. Security and Usage Restrictions
You may not, and may not permit others to:
- probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or any related system, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measure;
- access the Service or accounts, data, or systems without authorization, or attempt to access another tenant's data (assume strict tenant isolation between Organizations and Websites);
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-extract data from the Service except as expressly permitted, or use automated means to abuse the Service's data endpoints;
- evade, disable, or interfere with rate limits, quotas, credit metering, bot protection, or other usage controls, including by splitting activity across accounts to avoid per-Website billing or credit limits;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service except where such restriction is prohibited by law; or
- introduce automated or excessive traffic that degrades or disrupts the Service.
4. Licensing and Resale Restrictions
- You may connect and track only Websites you own or have authority to manage (including client Websites you manage under a valid engagement).
- You may not resell, sublicense, rent, lease, white-label, or otherwise provide the Service or its data to third parties outside the permitted use described in the Terms, or operate the Service as a service bureau for unrelated parties.
- You may not remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices or required disclosures in the Service.
5. Responsibility for Connected Accounts and Advertising
- You are the controller of personal data contained in your connected accounts' data and are responsible for the lawfulness of your collection, use, and disclosure of it, and for honoring related privacy rights (with our assistance as processor under the DPA).
- You are responsible for your advertising campaigns, spend, and compliance with each advertising platform's policies. Ads budget recommendations from the Service are advisory only; changes are applied only after your explicit approval and always within your user-set hard monthly budget cap per Website, and you remain responsible for reviewing and approving them.
6. Consequences of Violation
We may investigate suspected violations and may, with or without notice depending on the severity and legal requirements, remove content, throttle, suspend, or terminate access to the Service (in whole or in part), disconnect integrations, and take any other action permitted by the Terms or required by law. We may suspend immediately where there is a threat to the security, integrity, or availability of the Service, a legal requirement, a risk of harm, or a violation of a connected platform's API terms that jeopardizes our access. Suspension or termination for an AUP violation does not entitle you to a refund and does not relieve you of accrued fees.
7. Reporting Abuse
To report a violation of this AUP, suspected security issues, or abuse of the Service, contact legal@getseoverts.com (subject line: "AUP Report"). For copyright complaints, see the DMCA section of the Terms.
8. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be versioned and posted with a new effective date; continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
